He is specialised in treating patients with ENT emergencies, OPD, and surgeries. He has participated in various national and international conferences and continuously working on providing advanced solutions to ENT problems.

As people come to us for the treatment of disability, many have concerns related to the health of eyes as well. Therefore, we decided to provide them with holistic health facility at JAHRC and started with our ophthalmology wing.
Our way of conducting Ophthalmology
Since the establishment of the Ophthalmology Department, Dr Abhishek Chaudhary has been working with us treating patients with eye problems with his team of experts. We have treated people with Glaucoma, Cornea, Retina, and other eye-related problems. We have also cured people with R.O.P (initial stage) and are also connected with several R.O.P treatment centres to expedite people with the solutions they require to get the earliest cure to the issue and lead a healthy life.
Changes brought by Ophthalmology
Through our Ophthalmology Department, we have cured eye conditions of many people and helped them to save their vision. This is yet another medical area that was out of reach of many sections of the society and through our staff of eye-specialists, we have lightened the life of many.
Our Efforts
Eyes are one of the important sensory organs to human beings, and saving the vision helps people to live independently, which is yet another way towards our aim of making specially-abled people self-sufficient.
In our Department of Orthopedics, we have treated patients in OPD with back pain, neck pain, osteoarthritis, spondylosis, periarticular route arthritis, lumbar arthritis, facial diabetic leg and gangrene, and pus in the sinus.

Changes brought by Orthopedics
Orthopaedics is one of the major concerns of specially-abled people as it relates to the abnormalities of muscles and bones. Not only specially-abled people but also their helpers face problems related to orthopaedics. This is because of the inability to make the right balance, postures, and aligning the weight of the body. Through our orthopaedics department, we have been able to treat specially-abled people, their family, and other financially backward classes from muscular and bone problems.
Our Efforts
Orthopaedics is our main department towards the fulfilment of our goal of making specially-abled people independent and rehabilitate them in society. This department works well with other departments for coordinated efforts and success to cure one and all who reach us.
Acupuncture is an ancient Chinese medical-based approach to treating various conditions. In acupuncture, hair-like thin needles are inserted into the skin of patients to cure different ailments.
Our way of conducting acupuncture
We use very fine hair thin silver needles to be put into the patient's skin throughout the treatment, and extreme care is taken to make this process completely painless.
Dr Azeem Khan is our specialist in the Department of Acupuncture, and he has been associated with us for a year. He holds the license and membership of the Indian Academy of Education Science, which is well recognised in the field of acupuncture.

Overview and Highlights of the year
In the year 2020, we treated around 5600 patients all over India through our round the clock available medical services. Out of these,418 patients were treated at the rehabilitation centre of the hospital and the rest, 5174 patients, were treated at OPD department of the hospital.
Though the majority of patients were from the nearby localities, our laurel attracted patients from 9 different states. Out of 418 patients, 176 patients belonged to other states across India. Our effective promotion through campaigns and events throughout the year helped us reach the new milestone of 500 patients treated in the rehabilitation centre.
We take utmost pride to announce that JeevanAsha Hospital and Rehabilitation Centre was able to bring happiness to over 500 families across India. Every patient was treated in our rehabilitation centre with world-class equipment and facilities. Of these 500 patients, 356 patients were fitted with Lower Limb Prosthesisin a year, which is an achievement for our organisation. Most of the patients were fitted with Above Knee 2 (AK2) prosthesis that are modular prosthesis. Another set of 64 patients were fitted with five finger functional Mayo Electric and Mechanical Hand that are developed using the most advanced technology in our workshop. This type of prosthesis requires a lot of electrical alignment, and so they are the most expensive of all the prosthesis. We are providing all these limbs free of cost to the economically weaker section of the society.
All these patients were successfully treated and rehabilitated as almost half of the treated patients were able to support themselves financially after successful prosthesis fitment. It gives us immense joy and satisfaction in making a difference in the lives of these individuals and their families. Most of the treated patients either own small shops or operate as small vendors to live a normal life. These are the same people that were not able to find work because society considered them as disabled and unfit for any given job. We have made them abled by giving them the right treatment, prosthesis, and training with which they can now support themselves and their families like a normal person.
In the year 2020, we managed to touch 5200 patients in the OPD department. These are the total number of patients that have approached the hospital on a daily or weekly basis for regular health checkupscheckups and any health issues. Most of the patients were treated in General Practice (GP) and Ophthalmology. This year, we treated the most number of patients, even during COVID19 pandemic. During the pandemic, all the patients were treated by ensuring proper safety and sanitisation. The hospital operated in a safe environment by taking much-needed precautions and sanitisation measures.
We provide all sorts of OPD facilities at JAHRC. The main objective for this is to provide free healthcare facilities to financially weakened section of society. Most of the patients were treated from nearby villages and rural areas. These people did not know anything about modern-day healthcare solutions. We provide facilities like GP, Ophthalmology, ENT, Orthopedic, and other healthcare facilities. We provide these patients with the best possible healthcare solutions, especially curated, according to their requirements. Out of all the patients treated in OPD, most were treated under GP and ophthalmology departments. A total of 3418 patients were treated in these facilities combined, comprising of more than 50% of the treated patients at JAHRC.
Apart from general OPD facility, we provide all types of test that are carried out in our well-provisioned laboratory with latest technology instruments. So far, we have conducted a total of 2400 tests in our laboratory. These tests are carried out under the supervision of experts on the suggested tests given by our doctors after the examination of patients. We have carried out a total of 2100 blood tests in the laboratory of JAHRC. With the facility of the laboratory, we also provide equipment and machinery for general checkups, including X-ray and eye-test equipment. All these tests are conducted free of cost, and patients are not charged a single penny for these tests. We aim to provide the best of the healthcare facilities free of cost through JAHRC.
In the year 2020, we also focused more on awareness campaigns and events. We organised 6 camps in 60 different villages of U.P. These programmes were carried out in the nearby villages and were organised weekly. The main idea behind these camps is to promote JAHRC and make people learn about who we are and what we do. We also focused on word-of-mouth approach and brochures to attract more people from nearby places. On the day of the camp, we send a team of our highly qualified doctors and staff to villages where they carried out particular tests and checkups and prescribed the required treatment to the patients. During these camps, we distributed free of cost hearing aid devices, organised free eye tests and other checkups. We also distributed free wheelchairs to disabled people whose happiness is our motivation to work more towards the achievement of our goal. These free health check-up camps and supportive aid distribution were a huge success as a large number of people from nearby villages respond, making us contribute towards the building of a healthy society.
Alongside awareness programs and campaigns, we also organised various special events with the help of the Jain community. Our objective was to promote our performances in the past years at large gatherings and religious places so that we can promote the idea of our Guru, Muni Shri 108 SaurabhSagarJiMaharaj of restoring the equal status of people with disability in the society. These events are carried out to attract more patients and donation from all over India. In the past year, we conducted four special events, out of which three events were conducted in Dehradun. In Dehradun, we organised a 2-hour performance programme by the patients whom we have treated, followed by an informative session to create awareness about JeevanAsha Hospital and Rehabilitation Centre. After these events, we organised a 2-days camp in Dehradun which was opened for all the people with disability in the nearby region. This gave them an opportunity to get them registered with our hospital and get the required treatment at minimal or no cost. Later, these patients were called for free of cost prosthetics implant. A similar event was organised in Luck now, U.P. With the help of these camps we were able to attract patients, as well as donors from the region.
